A Guide to Improve Your Sports Performance.

Sport performance

Every person who practices any sport has the desire to improve their performance. But sometimes, we feel stuck on the same level and don’t see any improvement. To help you, we created a guide to improve your sports performance.

Guides are not the solution; guides are tools that give you direction. As the name says, GUIDE you.

Ok, let’s start!

The first thing that you have to do is:

Update your schedule and organize your entire week. Ensure you have proper time for every activity, such as work, family, training sessions, and sleep.

After organizing your schedule, you’ll optimize specific things:

Sleep

How many hours do you sleep? Can you improve it? How do you feel when you wake up?

Your sleep will greatly influence your results. Our bodies better recover when we have a good night's sleep, and important hormones are produced during this time. If you don’t sleep well, your body will not recover properly, and your workout sessions will not be the same.

Diet

Do you have a healthy diet? Are you eating enough to support you during your day? Do you have specific hours to eat your meals?

What you eat will model you. If you eat well, your body will be able to generate the right power for your training sessions and day long. Foods with good nutrients will provide the right amount of energy and help you recover from a training session or a game.

Workout

Does your workout match with what your sport demands? Do you have a training periodization?

Sport Performance demands a specific training program. If you want to improve your sports performance, you must have a specific workout program. You can’t just do curls, leg extensions, etc. You must understand the sport's demands and associate the right exercises with them. You’ll have to have speed, strength, power and sharp movements. For this reason, stay away from the traditional gyms and find a sports specialist.

Environment

Does your environment motivate you? Do you have the right people around you?

What surrounds you is very important. Keep with you that people who are always supporting you and motivating you to go one more rep. Overcoming your limits is a mental game. When you have the right people beside you, it is easier to overcome yourself.

After solving those questions, you go for the following steps:

Consistency:

You must be consistent when you set your routine and workout because results come with time.

Mindset:

You have to believe. Your journey is yours, so believe in what you want. Set achievable goals, understand they take time and think you are on the right path.

No Comparison:

Never compare your results with those of other people. Every person has specific qualities and results. Sometimes, what works for you will not work for another person, and vice versa.

This is not a straight line:

Our journey is not a straight line; you will have issues during the process, and you will most probably have to change direction. This means changing your approach and making some changes in your routine.

Your surrounding:

Your environment makes a big difference. When your surroundings work with you, things will happen quickly. Things around you will influence you and your behaviour. If you don’t have your environment set up to help you, it will be harder, but if you make your environment work in your favour, things will happen much easier.

Your journey is unique, so you must set it up for yourself without comparing yourself to others. Remember, what works for you may not work for others and vice versa.
