For this reason, we have developed a guide to increase your fitness performance in 6 months. We are going to show you the basic things that every person should do if they want to increase their fitness performance. You’ll be able to adapt to your reality, but the basics start all the same.


Find your why

Finding your why is one of the most important things you must do to achieve anything you want. Your why will lead you through all moments during your journey. That moment when you are very demotivated and exhausted, you will remember why you are doing that and what benefits you are aiming for. These thoughts will give you that extra energy to complete any challenge that you have. On the other hand, when you are super motivated and feeling confident, your why will put your feet on the ground and keep you focused.

Your why can be anything: have a better life, improve your health, perform better in your favourite sport, or win the next tournament.


Find your goals

Here is an activity that we want to do with you today:

1- Grab a piece of paper and write down 6 possible whys for you.

2- Now, choose 3, and write 5 benefits for each. Those benefits must be something that you know if you reach this, why you’ll have it.

3- Pick one of the 3 whys, and select the best and most important benefit you wrote.

4- This is why what you want to achieve and the most important benefit will be your focus.


Adapt your routine to your purpose

Now that you have your why, the next step is to adapt your routine. But for what reason do you have to adjust your routine? It’s simple: your routine will be the most influential in your results. This is true because it is your routine that will affect your results.


For example:

Your why is to lose 30 pounds in 6 months. This is very achievable, so you are very excited. So, you start your diet and work out 5 days a week. One day, your boss asks you to do overtime for a big project, and you go home late and very tired. For this reason, you start to sleep late, and every morning, you don’t have time to set up your breakfast. So you begin not following the proper breakfast and miss two days of workout because you are working a lot and don’t have enough time.


This situation is common nowadays, but you can reverse this and keep focusing on your purpose. If you are facing a problem like that, this is a good tip that you can do right now.

  • Start planning your week in advance. Keep your gym clothes organized, set your breakfast before bed, and cook meals for the entire week.

Just these simple actions will help you not to skip your diet and lose any workout sessions.

Keeping your daily routine more straightforward will help you stay on track even when something you can’t control happens. For this reason, we recommend that you adapt your routine to your purpose.


Develop good eating habits

It is well known that what you eat will help to achieve or destroy your goals. So developing good eating habits is very important in the journey.

Your diet will provide the fuel for your body to move. The same concept applies when you put gas in your car. We always want to use the best gas in our vehicles because we know the benefits of high-quality gas and the issues of poor-quality gas.


Let’s convert to the relationship between the body and food intake. The food you’re eating now will provide you with macronutrients, micronutrients, vitamins, minerals, and the most vital energy to live. Imagine if you fill your body with bad-quality foods, so, one day, your system will start to have problems, and your performance in all areas will reduce and sometimes stop. On the other hand, if you provide good-quality food, your body will receive the right amount of energy, macro and micronutrients, and vitamins and minerals. After that, your body will just increase its performance.


To start changing this behaviour, begin with small changes like this:

1- Introduce more vegetables to your meal. Try different ones and different colours.

2- Reduce the amount of sugar in your diet. If you have to eat sweet things, try to substitute for fruits.

3- Stay Hydrate. A lot of times, you think you are hungry, but you are not hungry. You just need to drink more water.

4- Find a good professional to help with your diet.


Developing good eating habits is not easy, but it is very important. For this reason, we strongly recommend you improve your diet.

Find the best training plan for you

We know how easy it is to find a training plan online today. But how do you find the best training plan for you? What does a good training plan consist of? We’ll help guide you to find the best for you.

Sometimes, the best training plan is not the plan that the best athlete in your city does or what your friend follows. The best training plan is the one you will follow the most.

Let’s see the steps to find the best workout program:

1- Match your schedule with the periodization. If you just have 45 minutes per day, find a training program that has training sessions for relatively the same amount of time.

2- Check if the goal of this periodization is the same as what you are looking for. If you want to lose weight, your training program must be something that follows this goal.

3- The program must be realistic. If you are not a professional athlete, do not try to train like one at the beginning, try something in your actual level of experience.

4- The best option is to find a coach and ask for help. The coach will understand your necessities and set up the entire workout for you. If a coach is not possible at this moment, read carefully the descriptions of the periodization and choose what best matches your reality.

Following those steps, we know that it will be easier to find a good workout program for you. But remember, in the fitness world, there is no cake recipe; sometimes you’ll believe you can follow some type of training, but after you start, you realize that it will be super hard. So, in this case, some adaptations must be made.


Be consistent in what you create for you

Constancy is the secret to better results. Where you are now, it is not a consequence of a few weeks of not doing what you have to do but is a consequence of what you have been doing for a long time.

For this reason, we always say here, “Be consistent in what you create for you”. This rule is crucial because good results take time and a lot of effort. So, don’t think that you are using the wrong training program just because you are not seeing results in a month or two. Being patient is the best advice that any coach can give to you.
